Report Absence

Report Absences using SchoolMessenger - SafeArrival

Now available for Kindergarten through 12th-grade Guardians, report your child’s absence in advance using any of these three convenient methods:

  1. Most convenient option! Using your mobile device, download and install the SchoolMessenger Home app* from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (or from the links at home.schoolmessenger.com). The first time you use the app, select "Sign Up" to create your account. When creating an account, please use the same email address from your guardian information in Skyward. To report an absence, select Attendance, then Report an Absence. *This is the same app we use for school communication!

  2. Use the SafeArrival website, home.schoolmessenger.com. The first time you use the website, select Sign Up to create your account. If you already have a SchoolMessenger account, log in to access Attendance. Select Attendance, then Report an Absence.

  3. Call the toll-free number 1-833-411-0038 to report an absence using the automated phone system.

These options are available 24 hours/day, 7 days a week.  Future absences can be reported at any time.

In the foreground, three rounded rectangles list ways to report absences, while the background features the SchoolMessenger logo and the title %22Absence Reporting Made Easy!%22.
A white background features three black rounded rectangles in the foreground, each with an icon and text explaining how to report absences, while the top right corner displays the SchoolMessenger logo.

Information on SMS text messaging and Short Codes: SMS stands for Short Message Service and is commonly referred to as a "text message". Most cell phones support this type of text messaging. Our notification provider, SchoolMessenger, uses a true SMS protocol developed by the telecommunications industry specifically for mass text messaging, referred to as “short code” texting. This method is fast, secure and highly reliable because it is strictly regulated by the wireless carriers and only allows access to approved providers. If you’ve ever sent a text vote for a TV show to a number like 46999, you have used short code texting.
*Terms and Conditions – Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Text STOP to cancel. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. See schoolmessenger.com/txt for more info.
